Modernism and flowers. From nature to architecture
Between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, nature was the great muse and source of inspiration for architects and artists. Flora became one of the quintessential repertoires of modernist architecture, establishing a true dialogue with the plant world through the decorative arts.
The exhibition will be complemented by a series of modernist pieces from the collection of the Museu Abelló with flowers and nature as protagonists. This selection will be displayed on the ground floor, where the family audience will also be offered a variety of activities to do at home.
Traveling exhibition. Organized by: Cerdanyola Art Museum and Esplugues de Llobregat Museum with the support of the Barcelona Provincial Council’s Cultural Heritage Office.
The exhibition catalog is available in the Museum shop (5 €).
