In addition, since January, we have hosted a retrospective exhibition of his work and we have worked closely with him.
Presentation of the exhibition
Josep Antoni Fernández i Fernández (Mansilla de las Mulas, León, 1949 – Barcelona, 2020), known by his pseudonym Fer, is one of the most important humor illustrators in the Catalan press. He has been publishing his cartoons in the newspaper El Punt Avui since 1987 and has been the director of satirical magazines such as El Papus and El Jueves. Promoter of the Gat Perich International Humor Award, he recently received the Creu de Sant Jordi for his life and artistic career. The exhibition has been curated by KAP (Jaume Capdevila).
With this exhibition, Fer returns home, as the Abelló Museum is the old barracks of the Civil Guard where he lived his childhood.
