The Sense of Rhythm

The varied richness of the Abelló collection allows us to trace relationships between works and authors from different periods. With a harmoniously chosen sequence we were able to discover some of the collector’s hidden tastes. The title of the exhibition suggested a game of sensitive analogies that the spectator discovered while contemplating the interpretations of the music and dance of the plastic artists of the stature of Abelló, Picasso, Ribes Rius, Manolo Hugué, Joan Rebull. Drawings, paintings and sculptures freeze sounds and movement. Space arts and temporal arts came into symbiosis with the concept of rhythm.
