Rain, snow, pint
From August 19 to November 4, 2017 /
The exhibition aims to bring new perspectives on contemporary painting to all types of audiences, especially children.
The exhibition presents the so-called “expanded painting”, a category that is characterized because, instead of being based on the use of brushes, the pictorial material, the frame and the canvas, it understands as pictorial works productions that they start from space, gesture, object, photography or even digital devices. These techniques broaden the traditional boundaries of painting to make it a multidisciplinary technique that artists have evolved over the course of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries from the research and experimentation of one of the main “fine arts”. .
“Plou, neva, pinta” aims to bring expanded painting through some of the most representative artists in Spain. In Mollet, the exhibition expands with 3 works from the Abelló collection, two by Joan Abelló and one by Antoni Tàpies.
